It is always great to do a coverage where all locations are in close proximity to each other. You avoid much of the hassle of traffic and specially parking!. The places where Roger and Kayla’s wedding event took place was pretty much only within the North Sydney area. Kayla even walked from where she was getting-ready at the hotel to the church! No need to hire a limo to take you around!
Kayla works as an occupational therapist and has a bubbly personality, positive and family orientated. Roger works as a public servant and is funny, easy going, and happy. He is also a car fanatic and loves working and racing his Nissan Skyline R34 and Motorbike CBR 954 RR.
They first met in December 2008 when Roger moved to Townsville for work. Kayla’s older btoher Alex brought Roger home to meet his family. He eventually became a close friend of the family over the coming years. Kayla’s first impression of Roger is that he is an easy going guy and family oriented. He is a happy person and is always smiling. Roger’s first impression of Kayla was that she is beautiful and a Chilled Chick!
Roger’s favourite memory during their early dating years was when he took Kayla for a trip to the Townsville Dragway in his Nissan Skyline and doing the 1/4 mile. She loved it! For Kayla, she gets butterflies in her stomach and always gets excited when she gets a txt from Roger. It was the highlight of her day whenever she hears from him or sees him.
As a couple, they are big movie buffs and enjoy going to the cinema for date nights. They like action movies although Kayla specially loves chick flicks! They also like spending time with family and friends for BBQ’s and get togethers. They enjoy cooking together.
What makes them unique as a couple is that they are very compatible, always care for one another and are always considerate of each other. They always try to put each other first and have a very strong relationship.
They got engaged 8th of January 2014 while on holidays in Tasmania. They where atop Mount Wellington when Roger asked Kayla to turn around and look at the amazing view. When she turned back around he was on his knee with an open ring box. He then asked her to marry him. She was so excitedly surprised! She started crying and said of course I will! Roger then went to pass Kayla the ring and because she was shaking she dropped it on the mountain side. Luckily they only dropped the box in the shrubs and caught the ring on her shoe. Otherwise, it would have been very hard to find. It was a truly amazing day. Roger was so happy and excited. He planned it perfectly.
The wedding day itself was an enjoyable occassion with a fair amount guests all having a good time. The speeches were great specially when the best man outed Roger with some of his “misdemeanours” during his younger years. His father was shocked!
I thank Roger and Kayla for the privilege of being part of their special day. They are both very caring and a wonderfully gracious host. I wish them all the best with their married life!
