The big day finally arrived for Maria and Stan. Mostly Sunny was the forecast for the day — looking good. Little did we know that the full heat of the harsh Australian summer would be the order of the day.
At 6:00am , my crew started arriving at my place. As was expected of me, I had to make coffee (lattes) for them as they seem to enjoy what I make. Maybe because it is free 🙂
We proceeded to RG’s Hairdresser at St. Marys to meet up with Maria and her maid-of-honour Julianna. The bride seems well relaxed and very excited.
Afterwards, we went to Stan’s place. The groomsmen are already there.
Maria was staying at the Novotel Hotel at Rooty Hill. Their room was fully packed with bridesmaids all being made up. It was a bit crowded but everybody is in good spirits.
The ceremony is at the Congragation Christian Church at Emerton
Stan arrived first driving a Ferrari. Whoa! I bet everybody was looking at him 🙂 What a lucky guy.
A white carpet was laid down the aisle just before for the bride marched in. This is the first time I’ve seen one in a ceremony — very nice.
The Newlyweds!
The formal shoot of the bridal party took place at Nurragingy Reserve. It is the middle of the afternoon at around 12:30pm. As you guess it, it was very HOT! Maria was specially having a hard time as her dress is very uncomfortable. The dress is quite long and requires another person to hold the extended tail — which fell unto Stan to do. Nevertheless, she soldiered on like a good trooper. Despite the unbearable conditions, Maria and Stan did not give up. I really admired them for this.
The reception took place at St Stephens Hall at Plumpton. It was a big gathering — 500+ guests!
The couple organised plenty of shows to entertain the guests. It was an event filled with singing and dancing. How I wish I was just a guest! That way, i could have fully watched the shows. it was very entertaining.
