On the day that I have a wedding to cover, the first thing I do as soon as I wake up, is to grab my phone and look up the weather. For Amanda and Campbell’s wedding day, the weather gods had been smiling on us – forecast is a sunny and cool day. A beautiful spring weather! In case you want to know our couple’s love story, you can read my previous coverage of their pre-wedding at Taronga Zoo — Amanda and Campbell pre-wedding
Our first stop for the day was at Campbell’s family home in Killara. Their house is a beautiful modern looking place that had just been renovated and is a labour of love of his parents. Campbell and his groomsmen are all in great spirits. A perfect start for the day!
Afterwards, it was a 30 mins drive to Newport where the makeup artists are all busy working on Amanda and the rest of the bridal party. I’d like to mention that Amanda’s Mom is also a florist. She did a phenomenal job providing for the beautiful flowers and decor for the wedding.
I like this little touch that she did to her shoes. Although I forgot to ask what it means for them…LOL
Amanda’s cute nephew
As I witnessed so many times before, It always amazes me to see a bride transform into a beautiful princess once they don their wedding dress. Amazing!
The ceremony was held at the St. David Anglican Church
The back of the church was were all guests went for afternoon tea. It also has a childrens playground which was the first setting for our location shoot.
Amanda and Campbell are fun and playful by nature. They can’t help but try out the playground.
For the more serious shoot, we proceeded to Palm Beach. I loved this location as it is one of the few public beaches in Sydney were you can see the setting sun on the water.
The reception was at the Royal Motor Yacht Club in Newport. We took a few more shots at the marina just before the reception began.
As the night drew to a close, I am again thankful for the privilege of covering another beautiful wedding. Thanks Amanda and Campbell!
